Dear PUMC Parents,
It is with great joy that we share the exciting news of our upcoming capital campaign launch! This congregation-wide effort will significantly reduce our church’s debt and strengthen the future of our ministry and service. Together as a church family, we hope to inspire our young people to see themselves as a vital part of this journey, knowing their voices and contributions are deeply valued.
We are honored to lead the youth and children’s ministry in this initiative, which will officially kick off during our Sunday services on March 9th. On that Sunday, we will worship as an entire church family together. All of our children and youth will be in service to actively participate in the worship service and showcase their incredible efforts. It is an all church worship service! We will have children and youth participating in all 3 services.
Here’s how they’ll be contributing:
- Letters of Gratitude: Sharing heartfelt messages and pictures through leaf-shaped cards to express why they are grateful for our church.
- Coin Collections: A tangible way for them to contribute to the campaign. Starting this Sunday, we encourage you to send your child/youth with coins to place in their giving container. They’ll be collecting weekly until the launch on March 9th.
- Handmade Bracelets: Created by our youth and children, these will be available at the ministry table in exchange for donations.
Over the next several weeks, we will focus on teaching themes of gratitude and generosity, with the hopes of helping our children and youth connect these biblical values to their creative efforts and the larger purpose of the campaign. We believe this will empower them and show the meaningful role they play in the life of the church.
